Haresh Bakshi
Trained in vocal tradition of Gwalior gharana, Haresh Bakshi is the
founder of the web site http://www.SoundOfIndia.com. Bakshi is a
singer, composer and musicologist. Bakshi has studied under Pandit
Eknath Padgaonkar, Ustad Ghulam Kader Khan, Pandit Gajananrao Joshi
and Pandit Narendra Shukla. With his experience of 30 years,
including 15 years in the United States, Bakshi has performed several
times and contributed many articles on North Indian music. He gives
instructions on Indian music on the Internet, in addition to teaching
it traditionally, that is, in the guru-shishya-parampara.
Mrs. Dhara R. Bakshi
Mrs. Dhara R. Bakshi has been teaching Indian Classical vocal for
over 10 years. Mrs. Bakshi has taught in various capacities, from a
one-on-one instructor all the way to Lectureship at a leading
institute in Ahmedabad. Mrs. Bakshi is both a Sangeet Vishaarad as
well as a Sangeet Shiksha Vishaarad. Mrs. Bakshi also has a Masters
in Performing Arts (Music Vocal) from M.S. University, Baroda. Mrs.
Bakshi is a proud recipient of the Acharya Allauddin Music Circle
Gold Medal, from M.S. University. Dhara R. Bakshi has moved to the
United States in 2006.
